Close together the teams wait in the Sandstraße. The field of the 10 x 4,2 km relay teams can hardly be more variant: big and small companies from all over the region, as well as teachers, belligerents, policemen or hospital staff. As every year, there are some very strong teams - like Intersport Mauritz or Zippels Läuferwelt. But for most of the teams, the result ist completely unimportant. Instead of this, fun and team spirit are in the foreground. They cheer and motivate each other. Again and again you hear "Come on, you can do ist". This is also the motto for the teams of EUROIMMUN. David Lau is impressed by his colleagues. "This is just fun", the young runner, who has participated several times in the Lübeck Marathon, said. The Sandstraße is a real Hotspot for a long time. With moderation, a big video wall and motivated and energetic teams this is a great picture for the runners party.
Previously, the 2,1 km students-run, the DAK-family-run, the 10 km run and the halfmarathon started on the new orange carpet. Togehter with nearly 500 Marathonis (389 Finisher) it is an impressive picture. Also the later winner of the 10 km run, Maya Rehberg from Kiel, is in the starting field. She has already experienced many national and international races. "My winning time of 37:32 is okay for the moment, the atmosphere here in Lübeck positively surprised me", she said.
